The first installment of KAWAii!! MATSURi, a pop culture festival themed on the latest kawaii culture, will be held at the Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium over two days, April 20th and 21st. Artists, cast members, and creators who embody the latest in music, fashion, and other cultures will gather together.

Live performances on the first day, the 20th, will feature T.M. Revolution, an artist who describes herself as a Gundam otaku; Shoko Nakagawa, a fan of anime, games, and cosplay who is also active as a singer; and May'n, one of the top-ranked anime song artists who broke out with Macross F. Other performers include idol groups Dempagumi Ink (.inc) from Akihabara and LinQ from Fukuoka. The live performances on the 21st will feature Kyary Pamyu Pamyu, who made her first appearance on Kohaku at the end of last year, the all-girl band SCANDAL, and the four-member new generation artist group SEKAI NO OWARI. Popular models such as Takechi Shiho, Tanaka Rina, and Aoyagi Fumiko will also be joining the lineup to liven up the show stages on both days.
