Takihyo Co., Ltd. (headquarters: Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture) will debut its new brand, "BERARDI," on February 27th. The brand is the second line of Antonio Berardi, a brand familiar from the London Collection. It consists of three lines: "Signature," featuring basic-colored items made from high-quality materials; "Basic," featuring staple items such as suits, shirts, and cut-and-sewn tops; and "Line & Transito," a seasonal collection. Prices start from around ¥40,000 for jackets and ¥20,000 for pants and shirts. Antonio Berardi was born in England in 1968. While studying at Central Saint Martins College of Art & Design in 1994, he worked as an assistant for John Galliano, Paul Costello, and Jasper Conran, among others. His graduation collection was highly praised, and he launched his own brand in 1994 at the age of 26. The brand debuted at the London Collection in the Spring/Summer 1996 season. It is known for its beautiful silhouettes and cuts, and many Hollywood celebrities count their clients among its customers.
Together with its debut, the brand opened stores at Tokyo Daimaru, Nihonbashi Takashimaya, Ginza Mitsukoshi, Ginza Matsuya, Isetan Shinjuku, JR Nagoya Takashimaya, JR Kyoto Isetan, Umeda Hankyu, JR Osaka Mitsukoshi Isetan, and Iwataya.
Mitsukoshi Isetan will release nine special-order items, and from February 27th to March 5th, a large-scale promotion will be held, including the takeover of all 27 ISETAN VISION signage displays in the underground passageway of Shinjuku 3-Chome with Berardi visuals.
