Nagashima Rikako's exhibition at PASS THE BATON. Consuming nature made from recycled materials

Nov 18, 2014

The Omotesando shop "PASS THE BATON" will be hosting an exhibition by graphic designer Nagashima Rikako titled "Cycle/Circle and Recycle" from December 4th.

Nagashima Rikako, who primarily works in graphic design but also in branding and product design, regularly releases clothing and products as part of her "Human_Nature" project, which focuses on the harmony between humans and nature. The works on display this time include clothing based on the theme of "cycle," and accessories and bags based on the theme of "circle."

The "cycle"-themed clothing is made from recycled fabric that would otherwise be discarded due to trends. By re-wearing the reshaped clothing, visitors can experience the cycle of mood. Meanwhile, the accessories and bags are made from acrylic sheets left over from mass production in the 1980s, fashioned into circles.
