Tatsuya Shinda, designer of the women's brand "SHIDA TATSUYA," will launch a new men's brand, "Pedloso," in the SS15 season.
Pedloso will revolutionize the colorful and bold image seen in women's wear to date. Centered on his personal vision of real clothing, the brand offers a style that blends vintage elements inspired by the deep historical background of menswear with a modern feel woven with high-tech materials.
In launching his new brand, Shinda rediscovered the appeal of antiques. He wanted to express the joy of discovery and nostalgic romanticism that are the true joys of men's fashion. The brand name, named in honor of Cuban athlete Ivan Pedroso, embodies the desire for "aspiration and awareness of the infinite" and "expression of individuality" that Shinda felt during his time as a track and field athlete.
Shinda Tatsuya graduated from Nagoya Mode Gakuen in 2001. Since 2007, he has exhibited his own collections at joint exhibitions overseas, mainly in Paris and New York. In 2010 and 2012, he participated in the Tokyo Collection.
