RICA, a hair removal wax brand from Sicily, Italy, has opened a limited-time shop showcasing at-home hair removal products at Beauty Apothecary on the second basement floor of the Isetan Shinjuku store. It will be open until June 24th. RICA, which sells its products at spas and beauty salons in over 80 countries around the world, produces its products in an ECOCERT-certified factory using over 98% natural ingredients, including Sicilian ingredients. Since its launch in Japan in 2012, the brand's wax has been introduced in over 400 salons. The shop offers a lineup of approximately 20 hair removal products, featuring gentle fruit and plant scents and colorful packaging. In addition to waxes for sensitive areas, the shop also offers waxes for various areas, including arms, legs, face, and nape.
For those who want to remove hair easily, they will also be offering "Rika Wax Sheets" (1,700 yen for face, 2,300 yen for body), which do not require heating the wax and can be simply applied to the skin and peeled off. They will also be introducing "Rika Warm Wax for Brazilian" (3,400 yen), a warm wax that can be simply applied to the skin, allowed to harden, and then peeled off. The "Rika Home Waxing 3-Piece Set" (6,500 yen), which includes the three aforementioned items in an original clear bag, will be sold exclusively at the store.
During the same period, for those who want to do serious hair removal at home, they will also be selling professional kits that use a dedicated heater to heat wax, which is not normally sold to the general public. The heater kits are available in two varieties: the "Rika Brazilian Wax Starter Kit" (¥25,000), which includes avocado wax rich in vitamins A, E, and D, and the "Rika Argan Oil Hard Wax Kit" (¥26,000), which includes hard wax containing Morocco's famous argan oil. Both kits come with the brand's original paperback.
