We spoke to the store's women's clothing buyer, whose best-selling coats sell over 100 pieces a season, about this year's trending coats. The buyer in charge of Urban Closet on the second floor of the main building says he's focusing on duffle coats and chester coats this season. The store's private brand "Ready for the Weekend" duffle coat (¥57,000 / Bordeaux, navy, gray) features a slim I-line cut, a longer length, and two overlapping buttons around the neck. The longer length elevates the "student-like" vibe typical of duffle coats, elevating it to a more mature, feminine look. Featuring toggle buttons made from real buffalo horn and tightly woven wool, this duffle coat is perfect for adults.

The same brand's Chester coat (48,000 yen / navy, beige) also has a slim silhouette. When the collar is raised, it becomes two-tone, and "you can enjoy color coordination with a bottle-neck inner. Pairing it with a tight skirt is a trend this year," said the buyer.

Meanwhile, a buyer from TOKYO Closet, which showcases trendy fashion on the second floor of the store, said, "Unique coats are selling well, especially among women in their 30s. With prices in the 70,000 yen range, there are many customers looking for a piece that suits them."

Duffle and Chester coats are also popular at the shop, and there is a wide variety of lengths and silhouettes. A best-selling item at the start of the season was a mint-colored duffle coat (86,000 yen) from "beautiful people."

Attention is being drawn to coats that have a masculine look from the front and a feminine silhouette from the back, such as the Chester coat from "Kaon" with three tiers of ruffles on the back (52,000 yen).
