Mural art can now be found all over the world, but Barcelona-based design studio Reskate Arts & Crafts is currently developing a highly original series called "HARREMAN." The series consists of extremely simple pieces: silhouettes of animals and other creatures painted in whitish ink on public buildings and walls around the city. However, there's a hidden twist: viewing the pieces as they are isn't even half the fun. When darkness falls, a new design appears in and around the silhouettes, glowing blue-green, transforming them into a completely different piece. The silhouettes are first completed using white plastic paint, and then another design is painted inside using phosphorescent paint. To maximize the effect of the phosphorescent paint, it's important to choose a completely dark location. A halogen light is placed in front of the piece, and the piece is left exposed to light for about 10 minutes before it fades to black.
Currently, three works from the "HARREMAN" project are on display in the streets of Spain and Romania. Each one apparently contains a message; for example, the rabbit design combines the word "sombra" (surprise), which is the origin of the Spanish word "asombrar" (surprise), and after first showing the rabbit concept, a silhouette of a hand emerges to surprise, creating an intriguing background. The name "HARREMAN" for the project means "companionship" in Basque, and was conceived as a project that expresses the origins of words and the things they evoke, and the act of communing with them.

Reskate Arts and Crafts not only specializes in works using these phosphorescent paints, but also in colorful works, and it seems that these works can be seen all over the city of Barcelona.
