ISETAN THE SPACE is an experimental pop-up space that aims to rediscover the legends who have built timeless value, and to present creations with a unique worldview that excites people around the world and intrinsic value that transcends trends, based on the keywords "3less (Timeless, Genderless, Category-less)". We believe that Rams' timeless objects, which defy the limitations of category and gender, are a natural fit with the interests of ISETAN THE SPACE's target customers.
The exhibition will focus on Dieter Rams' designs for Braun and Vitsoe from the 1950s and 1960s, showcasing precious vintage items. (Sponsors: Braun/JAKUETS/SUPERVION/Systems Studio/Vitsoe) During this period, Rams designed a wide variety of product categories, including shelving systems, furniture, audio and visual equipment, and kitchenware. Rams applied the same methods, design principles, and aesthetics to all of his designs. The result is a complete world of exceptional discipline and unity.
Through products designed by Dieter Rams for Braun and Vitsoe in the past, the exhibition will enable visitors to experience the shared methods and aesthetics expressed by Rams. Braun, a brand known for its unique design philosophy and for its continued innovation in the home electronics industry, and Fragment, the brand of Hiroshi Fujiwara, have collaborated to create a clock collection exclusively for sale at Isetan Shinjuku.
The Braun x Fragment Collaboration Edition consists of three classic analog clocks representing Braun: the BC02X Travel Alarm Clock, the BC17 Wall Clock, and the BC03 Alarm Clock.
Each model is available in black or gray, and Braun's iconic yellow second hand has been replaced with a blue one. All watches feature the Fragment brand and the signature double lightning bolt logo. All three watch models are packaged in bespoke BraunxFragment packaging.
