Precure is popular for celebration wear. Isetan's Shichi-Go-San fashion in 2014

Jun 25, 2014

Isetan Shinjuku is showcasing 2014 Shichi-Go-San celebration attire in the special kimono section on the 7th floor of the main building. The sale runs until mid-November.
The store's kimono section has a Shichi-Go-San corner showcasing celebratory attire, hair accessories, obi belts, bags, tabi socks, and other items, along with the necessary items for each age (3, 5, and 7 years old). The celebratory attire is available for purchase individually or in sets, with prices starting from 100,000 yen for 3-year-olds, 198,000 yen for 5-year-olds, and 198,000 yen for 7-year-olds. Sets include not only the celebratory attire but also an undershirt, drawstring bag, hair accessory, and sandals (set contents vary by age), with prices starting from 38,000 yen for 3-year-olds, 100,000 yen for 5-year-olds, and 250,000 yen for 7-year-olds. Regarding this year's Shichi-Go-San fashion, a representative said, "Especially for 7-year-old girls, light blue and emerald green colors, like those worn by the main characters in the anime PreCure, are popular. We often hear that children want to wear the same colors as their favorite TV characters. On the other hand, many parents are looking for classic patterns in classic red and pink, so please come to the store with plenty of time to discuss your child's preferences." This time, the focus is on celebratory kimono from Fujishiro Kobo (Zama City, Kanagawa Prefecture). According to a representative, the company sold its celebratory kimono online until last year, garnering praise for its cuteness that differs from traditional celebratory kimono. However, starting this year, sales are limited to the Isetan Shinjuku store. As a result, inquiries are beginning to come in from customers across the country, and the company's sales at the store have increased by 300% compared to last year. The store will be holding a "Shichi-Go-San Summer Festival" from July 23rd to 28th, expanding its sales area. A hair ornament making demonstration will be held at the same venue on July 26th and 27th.
