On March 10th, Descente Co., Ltd. simultaneously opened two new stores, EGG STAND and CONVENIENCE MART, offering egg-themed food and drinks, inside le coq sportif avant HARAJUKU (Harajuku R Building, 6-17-10 Jingumae, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo).

Of the two stores, EGG STAND has been overseen by Yuichi Goto, one of Japan's few world-renowned pastry chefs, who has been selected as chef pastry chef at Maison Troisgros, a three-star restaurant in France with over 45 years of Michelin Guide honors, and offers a takeout menu of easy-to-prepare, yet high-quality egg dishes.

All of the egg dishes are made with Nasu Royal Eggs, which are laid by healthy chickens that are exposed to plenty of air and sunlight, raised free-range, and fed specially selected feed.The original menu is centered around egg jam, which is made with plenty of sweet, glossy, and rich-flavored eggs. The menu offers a wide range of treats, from sweets to savory dishes, including the EGG SANDWICH (430 yen), a brioche dough sandwich with large pieces of boiled egg, a crunchy echelette, and pickles as an accent; the EGG DOUGHNUT (360 yen), a round doughnut similar to takoyaki, topped with egg jam; the EGG CREAMPAN (340 yen), an original cream bun sandwiched between fluffy brioche dough and filled with egg jam and rich butter; the EGG PUDDING (420 yen), a new type of pudding topped with egg jam; the EGG SOFT-CREAM (290 yen), which is rich in egg flavor; and the EGG SHAKE (370 yen), a milk-based mix topped with egg jam.

Meanwhile, at Convenience Mart, under the direction of THINK GREEN PRODUCE, which is responsible for the overall production of Le Coq Sportif Avant, a variety of lifestyle products will be on sale, including highly designed miscellaneous goods inspired by the brand's French roots and cycling, as well as French-made sweets and food.
