At ATELIER MUJI in the MUJI Yurakucho store in Tokyo's Yurakucho district, the "Switch for New Life - The New Life We Encountered" exhibition will be held from March 31st to April 23rd.
Spring in Japan marks the start of a new school year, a time of great change, with people entering school, graduating, starting a new semester, moving to a new grade, changing seats, starting a new job, being transferred, relocating, and moving. In this exhibition, a group of artists will meet people they are interested in, and will compile the stories they hear about new life into paper strips that will be delivered to visitors in a specially designed space, allowing them to discover the switches hidden in our everyday lives that we tend to overlook.
In addition, as related events, from 1pm to 2pm on April 2nd, there will be an open production event called "What happens when you press the switch?" with children and L PACK., the unit consisting of Odagiri Sho and Nakajima Tetsuya, and from 3pm to 4pm on April 23rd, there will be a talk event called "Editor's Notes - The Remaining 26,000 Words" where L PACK. and ATELIER MUJI senior curator Suzuki Junko will talk about behind-the-scenes stories that were not published in the booklet. The events have a capacity of 40 people and reservations are required via the official website.
