GOOD DESIGN STORE TOKYO by NOHARA, Japan's first permanent Good Design Award store, will open on the third floor of KITTE Marunouchi in late April.
The store is a permanent sales outlet displaying past Good Design Award winners over the past 60 years, as well as stationery, miscellaneous goods, interior goods, food, and other products that represent each era. Visitors can easily browse a selection of "good designs" created with the consumer in mind.
The store was created through a collaboration between Nohara Sangyo, a general trading company for building materials, and the Good Design Award. Jasper Morrison was in charge of the store design, while Hiromura Masaaki was responsible for the graphic design. The store is produced by method.
