Warehouse TERRADA Co., Ltd. opened "PETALS TOKYO," a floating hotel on the Tennozu Canal, on November 9, 2020.

The Tennozu area, where our company is based, is adjacent to Shinagawa-juku, a famous Edo cultural spot, and has attracted attention as a place where traditional and modern cultures intersect. It is considered a valuable location where visitors can experience waterfront spaces and contemporary art. With easy access from Haneda Airport, the number of visitors has been increasing year by year.

The newly opened "PETALS TOKYO" is a cottage-style accommodation located on the Tennozu Canal, aiming to promote stay-based tourism. By burying the surrounding utility poles and planting trees, the hotel has been created to evoke the relaxed atmosphere and fusion with nature unique to a canal town, even though it is located in the city within walking distance of Shinagawa Station. We also promote the creation of an environmentally conscious hotel, using natural materials and renewable resources for guest room amenities.

Our company is working to create a city that aims to be the world's number one art city, by operating art and culture dissemination facilities such as an art complex, museum, and art supply lab. Through the operation of this facility, we will bring new appeal to the canal town of Tennozu. For more details, please see below.

[About PETALS TOKYO]
In Tennozu, Tokyo, which has transformed from a warehouse district into an art city, the floating hotel "PETALS TOKYO" has opened. The hotel consists of four colorful boats moored along the Tennozu canal, along with the event space "T-LOTUS M." The four boats have been named "PETALS" (petals) as they resemble lotus petals floating on the water's surface. Like the houseboats of Amsterdam, a city that has long developed as a canal town, each boat has a different design concept, emphasizing the charm of handcraft. Each interior has been created to be a unique and premium space. This canal serves as an "intersection" between river and sea, connecting Tokyo, one of Asia's leading cities, with the world that lies beyond. It is a one-of-a-kind space where you can hear the hustle and bustle of the city from afar and experience the natural beauty of the waterside.
