Dior, under artistic director Maria Grazia Chiuri, held its Fall/Winter 2017-18 women's collection show at the Musée Rodin in Paris.
This season, most of the looks were unified in blue and black. This was because Christian Dior believed that blue and navy blue were the only colors that could rival black, and they were the starting point for the collection's creation. From daywear to eveningwear, the collection featured a wide variety of items, but the color palette created an exquisite sense of unity.
While feminism was one of the themes of the previous season, this season took it a step further, incorporating a genderless image and workwear and uniform styles that are less gender-specific. These pieces were created in silk taffeta for a luxurious interpretation.
Lettering such as "CHRISTIAN DIOR" and "J'ADIOR" from the previous season appeared on the belts of bags and jackets, giving a glimpse of the influence of street style. The berets that were paired with all the looks also added a youthful impression.
This season's New Look jacket has been rearranged for a sporty look with an added hood, and the scalloped embroidered dress from Monsieur Christian Dior's archives has also been updated. This was a collection with such a wide variety that you were sure to find an item you wanted to wear.
