

The Summoner's Cup, the championship trophy awarded each year to the winner of the League of Legends World Championship, has arrived in Shanghai, China, housed in a one-of-a-kind trophy case designed by Louis Vuitton. The trophy and case were on display at the final match held at Shanghai Pudong Football Stadium last weekend.

The trophy case, a first for a luxury brand, designed by Louis Vuitton for an esports championship was unveiled at the Eiffel Tower in Paris on November 8, 2019, and combines traditional Louis Vuitton craftsmanship with cutting-edge technology inspired by the world of League of Legends. To celebrate this ongoing partnership, Louis Vuitton has designed the costumes for K/DA*, the globally popular virtual idol group, for promotional events around Shanghai prior to their concert. Louis Vuitton has also provided the outfits for on-stage performer and musician Lexi Liu, who will be performing alongside K/DA at the 2020 League of Legends World Championship Opening Ceremony, and Chinese actor, singer, and model Wang Hedi, who will be appearing as the guest of honor at the finals. *Consists of Ahri, Akali, Evelynn, Kai'Sa, and Seraphine, a new collaborator from "K/DA."
