On November 1st, Kansai Yamamoto's "Fashion in Motion 'Kansai Yamamoto' Fashion Show" will be held at the Victoria and Albert Museum (V&A) in London.

The theme of the fashion show is "Basara." This will be Kansai Yamamoto's first show in 42 years, a return to his roots since he was the first Japanese designer to hold one in London in 1971.

The show will be livestreamed on the V&A Facebook page for 20 minutes each, starting at 10:00 PM Japan time (1:00 PM local time) and 2:00 AM Japan time (5:00 PM local time). "Fashion in Motion" is a fashion show that has previously featured world-famous designers such as Jean Paul GAULTIER, Christian Lacroix, Alexander McQueen, Missoni, Gareth Pugh, Vivienne Westwood, and Yohji Yamamoto.

The latest collections unveiled at the fashion show will also be available for advance sale at a pop-up store in the TOKYO Kaihoku district on the second floor of Isetan Shinjuku from January 2nd to 14th, 2014. The pop-up store will feature tribute items by creators such as writtenafterwards designer Yoshikazu Yamagata and fashion director/blogger Misha Janette, as well as a variety of store-exclusive and collaboration items. Additionally, the venue will have a special exhibition of costumes designed by Kansai worn by David Bowie on the 1973 Aladdin Sane tour, which were also on display at the V&A's David Bowie retrospective, "David Bowie is...".
