Aug 20, 2013

"Amy Winehouse For You I Was A Flame" with Proud Galleries, an exhibition tracing the life and career of singer Amy Winehouse, who died in 2011 at the young age of 27, will be held at London's Proud Galleries from September 12th to October 6th.

Paintings and photographs donated by Amy's family will be on display. Works by graffiti artists and Amy's own collection of British pop artist Gerald Laing will also be on display.

The exhibition is organized by the Amy Winehouse Foundation, which was established by Amy's family with the aim of supporting people struggling with drug and alcohol addiction and using music to support young people with disabilities. To celebrate Amy's 30th birthday on September 14th, a series of events titled "Amys30" will be held in Camden, London, where Amy lived.
