Vivienne Westwood is collaborating with five British brands for a project called "Vivienne Westwood Loves." The partners chosen share Vivienne Westwood's philosophy of "choosing quality over quantity, not buying too much, and making the things you choose last." Globe-Trotter, a travel bag brand founded in 1897, will release a collaborative suitcase (priced from 126,000 yen to 294,000 yen). The suitcases come in two colors, cream and midnight blue, and feature Vivienne Westwood's signature red and blue tartan lining. Gloverall, which has been manufacturing in the UK for 70 years, has announced a duffle coat made in London. Two models are available: one featuring Vivienne Westwood's manifesto message (99,750 yen), and another featuring a hand-drawn tartan check graffiti print on double-faced tartan fabric (115,500 yen). Johnstons of Elgin, a cashmere and wool expert based in northeast Scotland, will be releasing a cardigan (84,000 yen) and a pullover (73,500 yen) in two argyle patterns, one in red and blue, and the other in soft gray and caramel. Also available are two tartan check stoles (52,500 yen each), inspired by the wool capes featured in this season's Vivienne Westwood Gold Label collection.
Lock & Co., a luxury millinery shop founded in 1676, has created hats based on Vivienne Westwood's "Do It Yourself" recycling concept. The Lennon Cap (29,400 yen), an original Lock & Co. design, uses leftover fabric from the Gold Label collection show. The Trilby Hat (3 colors, 68,250 yen each), made from soft, foldable material, has a long ribbon that allows you to tie it yourself. Both hats will be sold with an original box printed with graphics related to Vivienne Westwood's environmental campaigns.
Pantherella, a luxury sock manufacturer with its own factory in Leicester, central England, will release collaborative socks (5,775 yen each). The shoes come in three colors: fuchsia pink and scarlet red, lemon yellow and saffron, and mid-gray and charcoal gray, with the toe, heel, and entire shoe each colored in a contrasting color.
The women's version will be available at Vivienne Westwood stores in Aoyama, Shinsaibashi, and Nagoya, while the men's version will be available at Vivienne Westwood stores in Omotesando and Hankyu Men's Osaka from the middle of this month.
