Guy Bourdin's artwork exhibition, NARS opens limited store for holiday collection

Nov 18, 2013

NARS will open a pop-up store for its holiday collection inspired by fashion photographer Guy Bourdin for three days only, starting on the 22nd. The store will be located at Batu Art Gallery (5-11-5 Jingumae, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo). The store will exhibit and sell the limited-edition color collection and gifting collection, as well as an exhibition of Bourdin's work, which was personally selected by NARS founder François Nars for the collection and used in the packaging design. François decided to become a makeup artist after encountering Bourdin's work in French Vogue and Harper's Bazaar as a child. The gifting collection, which will be released on the 22nd, includes "Fling" (6,720 yen), a red lip-shaped case containing two lipsticks and two lip pencils, and "Voyer" (5,460 yen), a pouch with a red and black heart design containing five mini-sized eyeliners. Also, from the color collection released on the 8th, blush collection (cheek) items "Coeur Battant (magenta)" and "Day Dream (peach pink)" and single eyeshadows "Mississippi Mermald (champagne gold)" and "Cambodia (pink copper)" are selling well. Customers who spend 10,500 yen or more at the venue during the period will receive a free Nars x Guy Bourdin original tote bag (limited quantity). Hours are from 11:00 to 20:00.
