FACETASM presented its Spring/Summer 2021 collection as part of Rakuten Fashion Week TOKYO's new project, "by R." This time, "doublet" was also streamed digitally as part of the project.

The show, held at Warehouse Terrada, was streamed, and although the show was only presented on a digital platform during Paris Fashion Week in July due to the impact of COVID-19, this was the brand's first runway show in Tokyo in five years.
The theme of the collection was "More Memories." A piece of paper placed on a chair at the show venue contained a message of gratitude to those who have supported the brand since its debut in 2011, along with the following passage: "One day, I saw a picture drawn by my four-year-old son and was deeply moved. It was a memory from my childhood, or last night's dinner, and a memory for tomorrow."

The collection, spoken of in a natural manner typical of designer Hiromichi Ochiai, who is often seen holding his beloved son at exhibitions, featured a lineup of items that are typical of FACETASM, which re-elevate the essence of current fashion trends pioneered by Tokyo's street scene. Having presented on schedule at fashion weeks from Milan to Paris, his confidence and pride in his creations were evident.

Items such as trucker jackets, tracksuits, fire jackets, hoodies and knee-high socks, materials such as organza, tulle lace, feathers and tartan, and design sources that could be considered signatures of FACETASM, such as zip separates, ribbon tape and straps, have been re-entered with a pop of colours, with neon as the main accent.
