
The film channel Star Channel will launch a fixed women's programming slot called BRILLIANT CINEMA in December. The first installment will feature films featuring luxury brands under the theme of "MODE x MOVIE."
"Coco Chanel" (2008), which will air on the 4th at 9 pm, is a biographical film starring Shirley MacLaine that depicts the life of designer Chanel. The film will explore the background of the creation of tweed suits and the iconic perfume "Chanel No. 5," and will feature approximately 70 outfits and vintage jewelry. "William Shakespeare's Romeo + Juliet" (1996), which will be broadcast at 9 PM on the 11th and 1 PM on the 14th, is a reinterpretation of the classic novel, directed by Baz Luhrmann, just like "The Great Gatsby," and starring Leonardo DiCaprio. DiCaprio's costumes are by PRADA.
In "The Embraces" (2009) starring Penelope Cruz, which will be broadcast at 9 pm on the 18th and 1 pm on the 21st, she will appear in a crimson dress inspired by 1950s fashion by director Pedro Almodovar, and Christian Louboutin high heels.
In "Breakfast at Tiffany's" (1961), which will be broadcast at 9 pm on the 25th and 1 pm on the 28th, Audrey Hepburn, the star, will wear a GIVENCHY dress.
Brilliant Cinema will continue to introduce selected films on themes such as fashion, travel, food and lifestyle, with the message "A life filled with brilliance through movies."
