Nov 26, 2013

Silk Oil of Morocco Japan, a retailer of organic cosmetics and hair care products, opened its third store, "Silk Oil of Morocco," a directly managed organic argan oil specialty store, on November 22nd in the "Eki Marche Osaka" shopping complex adjacent to JR Osaka Station. Argan oil is a plant oil extracted from the kernel of the argan tree, which grows only in Morocco. Its moisturizing properties, fatty acids, and polyphenols are said to protect skin and hair. "Silk Oil of Morocco" is the brand name for the company's argan oil products. The newly opened Eki Marche Osaka store boasts a 62-story sales floor and features not only existing products but also a hair and makeup studio offering hair and makeup services. The store first opened in March of this year in the Tennoji MIO Plaza shopping complex adjacent to JR Tennoji Station. It subsequently opened its second flagship store in October inside the Yurakucho Marui shopping mall. It has been decided that the Kyoto store will open in March 2014, followed by the Yokohama store in April, and plans are underway for further store openings, with the aim of having a nationwide network of 10 stores by the end of next year.
