
Galerie Tamenaga France in Paris will host a solo exhibition by photographer Yoshihiko Ueda from November 14th to December 5th. The international photography fair "Paris Photo" will be held in Paris through the 17th during the exhibition. The exhibition will feature 44 works, large and small, from Ueda's "Quinault" series, which depicts the sacred forests of Native Americans, seven works from his "Materia" forest series, which explores the life of Yakushima, and six works from his "M-River" series, depicting the rivers of Yakushima. Ueda will also be present at the opening reception, starting at 6:00 PM on the 14th. Ueda was born in Hyogo Prefecture in 1957. He became an independent photographer in 1982. He has been active in the fields of advertising photography, commercial film, and art photography. Since 2008 he has exhibited at international art fairs such as Paris Photo, and in 2010 he held exhibitions in the UK and the US, presenting his "Quinote" series. He is also responsible for the advertising photography for the recently renovated Isetan tartan pattern.
