Born in Halmstad, Småland, Sweden in 1931. Discovered by Stig Lindberg, she worked for Gustavsberg, Sweden's largest ceramics manufacturer. She became independent in 1979 and has continued to actively create works ever since. She is also known as the creator of Mikey, Japan's most famous Scandinavian cat character.
