This polo shirt uses Shankar 6, a specially woven yarn made exclusively for PEARLY GATES. Shankar 6 is the highest quality Shankar cotton available. This Indian hybrid cotton (a combination of the best genetic traits from cross-breeding) is rich in oil and has a unique, slimy feel. This oil, or cotton wax, is a natural moisturizing ingredient, making it very gentle on the skin and non-irritating. Because this oil is inherent in the raw cotton itself, it will not come off even with repeated washing, unlike materials that are temporarily softened with unnecessary fabric softeners. It is also grown without the use of chemicals, using methods closest to nature. This yarn is loosely knitted and then tumble-processed to achieve a natural stretch and soft texture.
