A virtual fashion show mixing vintage Yves Saint Laurent pieces with modern real clothes

Nov 21, 2016

The Japan Fashion Culture Foundation, which owns vintage Yves Saint Laurent pieces, will host a virtual fashion show, "Mon YVES SAINT LAURENT," from December 10th to 25th at the Pola Museum Annex on the third floor of the Pola Ginza Building in Tokyo's Ginza district. The Japan Fashion Culture Foundation owns approximately 180 vintage Yves Saint Laurent pieces from the early 1970s to early 1980s, including iconic pieces like the smoking suit and safari look, and makes them available to the public. In collaboration with United Arrows, these precious pieces have been mixed with modern real clothes (UA items) to create styling that evokes the spirit of the era. The stylist is Tsugumi Watari. The virtual fashion show will feature footage of the show, as well as an exhibition of 20 carefully selected pieces from the show.
