Maison Margiela has unveiled its Spring/Summer 2021 Co-Ed collection.
The Spring/Summer 2021 Co-Ed collection reinterprets the collaborative spirit of "pas de deux," a dance in which two people step together, relying on intuition and trust, as a new value in human connection, especially now that people are forced to live apart.
The vibrant and intense dance has a cathartic effect, releasing old memories and stimulating a strong passion to move forward. It also motivates the heart to embrace it, heralding new beginnings and inviting change.
The Maison Margiela ecosystem is revealed through the sense of community, family values and intergenerational exchange that are at the heart of tango culture.
The film project ’S.W.A.L.K.’ launched with the previous "Artisanal" (Haute Couture) collection, and this second and final film for the Co-Ed collection demonstrates how the techniques presented in the "Artisanal" collection are artistically translated into ready-to-wear.
