Julien David has collaborated with Bata, a venerable Czech sneaker brand with a 120-year history and sales of over 500 million pairs worldwide, to release a collaborative sneaker for the Spring/Summer 2017 season. The sneakers, created as a homage to the NBA team "Baltimore Bullets," are the "Bletz High (9,000 yen)" and "Bletz Low (8,400 yen)," which were released in 1964. Each comes in three colorways, featuring the iconic "WAVE" print from the Spring/Summer 2017 collection. The upper and lining are made from high-quality organic cotton canvas and feature a colorful wave motif inspired by the ukiyo-e prints of Katsushika Hokusai. The sneakers are packed with Bata's signature retro details, including an all-white sole crafted using the vulcanization process and brass laces.
