The fourth PND Photobook Drinking Party, Asia's largest photobook fair, will be held on December 3rd and 4th, mainly at Daikanyama Hillside Terrace Annex A. Among the booths lined up are Japan's leading photobook publishers and bookstores, where you can immerse yourself in the world of photobooks while savoring delicious coffee, alcohol, and prosciutto.
The first PND Photobook Drinking Party was held last year at VACANT in Harajuku, attracting 1,000 visitors over two days. This large-scale photobook fair features booths offering alcohol and coffee. Over a beer, you can directly share your thoughts and questions with the publishers and bookstore staff, such as "What was the story behind the creation of the photobook?" or "Which photobook would make a perfect Christmas gift for your significant other?"
Some booths will also offer special deals on books and special zines for the PND Photobook Drinking Party. Depending on the time of day, autograph sessions will also be held.
As an additional special event, a talk show will be held at a separate venue, the Hillside Terrace Banquet, featuring Yamada Photo Engraving's printing director, Kumakura Keizo, and designer Niimura Norito. Kumakura, who has worked with renowned designers at the forefront of printing, and Niimura, known for his work on MUJI and Shiseido's newly redesigned "Hanatsubaki" magazine, will discuss the theme of "expression and printing."
