Vivienne Westwood has released an exclusive capsule collection commemorating the 25th anniversary of Ai Yazawa’s iconic manga NANA. The collection pays homage to the cultural impact of a work that has long inspired fashion lovers around the world, particularly for its vivid portrayal of style, individuality, and rebellion. By reinterpreting the personal aesthetics of the two heroines—Nana Komatsu and Nana Osaki—Vivienne Westwood transforms the essence of NANA into a contemporary wardrobe that bridges fiction and fashion heritage.

The capsule collection is structured around the contrasting fashion identities of the two main characters.

Nana Komatsu: The Continuation of Ultra-Femininity
Reflecting Nana Komatsu’s soft and romantic sensibility, the collection includes pieces in pastel pink, pearl jewelry, and floral prints. The Mini Sunday Dress, crafted in light-pink poplin, features delicately layered signature tartan, offering a contemporary reinterpretation of an archival design. The result is a piece that embodies Komatsu’s distinctive blend of grace and quiet strength.

Nana Osaki: The Essence of Punk Edge
In contrast, Nana Osaki’s aesthetic centers on punk-inflected elements—red Lochcarron tartan, corsetry, and leather chokers. The Stormy Jacket, detailed with black velvet lapels, an asymmetric front, and Orb-embossed buttons, pays homage to the “Storm In A Teacup” Storm Jacket from the Autumn–Winter 1996/97 collection.

Traditional tartan is reinterpreted through sculptural pattern-cutting in new pieces such as the Puppy Corset, Cigarette Trousers, and Mini Kilt, showcasing the house’s refined tailoring. Completing the lineup are T-shirts in hot pink and deep navy, printed with the “Westwood Galaxy” motif—everyday staples imbued with the brand’s iconic attitude.


Accessories & Jewelry — A Special Collection Where the Two Worlds Intertwine
The capsule collection also offers an extensive range of accessories. The Belle Frame Purse, crafted in coral-pink crochet jacquard, and the Charm Frame Purse, available in black scribble tartan or a red-and-green tartan variation, each reflect the contrasting aesthetics of Nana Komatsu and Nana Osaki. Across the pieces, shared motifs such as safety pins, drop pearls, teddies, and strawberries—symbols deeply rooted in NANA—are incorporated as delicate details.
