Vivienne Westwood and ASICS have collaborated for the first time, launching an exclusive sneaker capsule collection.
This collaboration will create a five-sneaker collection based on ASICS and ASICS Tiger sneakers. The first two sneakers will be released worldwide on April 27th.
The "GEL-MAI™ KNIT MT" features the brand's iconic Squiggle pattern, which was introduced in the Fall/Winter 1981 collection, the same collection that marked Vivienne Westwood's runway debut. Based on the red and white color scheme of the original, the Squiggle pattern is expressed on the upper using intarsia knitting. The asymmetrical lacing system, which is often used in Vivienne Westwood's tailoring, is also iconic in the design of this model. The brand's iconic ORB logo is printed on the inside. It is available in one color.

The other shoe is based on the "GEL-KAYANOTM 5 OG," an updated version of the "GEL-KAYANOTM 5" released by ASICS in 1999 and relaunched in 2018. The red and orange colors used in this model are inspired by Vivienne Westwood's Squiggle pattern color scheme and are incorporated into the tongue and collar lining. A multicolored "ORB logo" is printed on the heel.
