ISSEY MIYAKE and Apple have announced iPhone Pocket, a collaborative project that redefines how we carry our everyday essentials. Inspired by ISSEY MIYAKE’s philosophy of “a piece of cloth,” the item features an original 3D-knit structure that expands to hold any iPhone or small daily item.

The open rib texture, derived from ISSEY MIYAKE’s signature pleated materials, allows for stretch and form while maintaining an architectural silhouette. It can be handheld, attached to a bag, or worn on the body — reflecting both playfulness and precision in its design.

Yoshiyuki Miyamae, Design Director at MIYAKE DESIGN STUDIO, notes that iPhone Pocket symbolizes the relationship between iPhone and its user, resonating with ISSEY MIYAKE’s idea of “leaving space for interpretation.”Apple’s Vice President of Industrial Design, Molly Anderson, describes it as an item that embodies the shared principles of craftsmanship, simplicity, and joy.

Crafted in Japan with ISSEY MIYAKE’s proprietary 3D-knit technology, iPhone Pocket was realized in close collaboration with Apple Design Studio.

The short strap version comes in eight colors—Lemon, Mandarin,Purple, Pink, Peacock, Sapphire, Cinnamon, and Black—while the long strap version is available in Sapphire, Cinnamon, and Black. Priced at ¥25,800 and ¥39,800 respectively, the collection will be available from November 14 at select Apple Stores and on apple.com across Japan, France, Greater China, Italy, Singapore, South Korea, the UK, and the US.
