Musician Pete Doherty was born on March 12, 1979, in London, England.
He formed the band The Libertines in 1997 and released their debut album, The Libertines Manifesto, in 2002. The band received critical acclaim and commercial success. Doherty, in particular, was praised as a promising songwriter, but the band struggled with drug problems and other troubles. Their second album, The Libertines Revolution, released in 2004, was also a hit, but the band disbanded shortly thereafter.
After going solo, he released the single "For Lovers" with musician Wolfman. He also sang guest vocals on a track by the female duo Client. The band Babyshambles, which he formed in 2003 during the final days of The Libertines, is still active today.
In his personal life, he is famous for dating model Kate Moss. Influenced by Kate, she also began working as a model, appearing in the Roberto Cavalli 2007-2008 autumn/winter advertising campaign, and has previously designed for Manchester-based fashion brand GIO GOI.
