On March 10th, Tiffany & Co. opened its largest boutique in Japan on the first floor of the main building of the Sogo Kobe department store (8-1-8 Onogara-dori, Chuo-ku, Kobe, Hyogo Prefecture). To commemorate the opening, actress Saki Aibu appeared at the ribbon-cutting ceremony, dressed in over ¥500 million worth of jewelry. The Tiffany & Co. Kobe Sogo store boasts a total floor space of 330 square meters, making it the largest Tiffany boutique in a department store nationwide. Aibu Saki, who participated in the ribbon-cutting ceremony, is originally from Hyogo. When asked about her impressions of the Kobe Sogo store, she commented, "The spacious, easy-to-see store, with such a lavish selection of jewelry, is truly impressive. It really lifts your spirits." The Tiffany jewelry Aibu wore this time included a rare yellow diamond necklace and a 7-carat engagement ring, totaling a whopping 530 million yen. Aibu seemed enchanted, saying, "I'm honored to be able to wear such captivating, sparkling jewelry." She also recalled that when she turned 20, her father gifted her with a Tiffany piece. "It was my first Tiffany piece. I still treasure it. It made me want to become someone worthy of it." Regarding the bridal salon, one of the highlights of the store, she said, "Everything is lovely. I've always dreamed of getting an engagement ring, so I hope I can come and see one someday. I'm in my late twenties, after all (laughs). I hope I can get married in my thirties... I value my own time, but my hope is turning to the day when I can wear such beautiful jewelry."
