■ABOUT PRIM

The watch manufacturer PRIM is a small watch manufacturer that has been producing its products entirely in-house since 1949, during the socialist era in the Czech Republic. Made in a small town on the Polish border in eastern Czech Republic, far from the watchmaking centers of Switzerland and Germany, Prim watches have evolved in their own unique way while retaining the atmosphere of the 1950s.

Manufacture Movement

Prim is a rare manufacture that has improved its in-house movements since the 1950s and still produces over 90% of its parts in-house. As a result, the cases that are machined in-house are unique and come in a wide variety of shapes and sizes, ranging from 34mm to 40mm.

Handmade details

One of the characteristics of this manufacturer is the variety of rounded glass cut from Bohemian glass. The needles are individually cut out and polished by young craftsmen, and they can also be blued in-house, making them one of the few manufacturers that still uses the traditional manufacturing methods from the 1950s.
