British shoe brand Clarks has collaborated with fellow British-based fashion designer Orla Kiely to create a capsule collection of five items, which will be released exclusively in stores from April.
Kiely, who is working on shoes for the first time in this collaboration, commented, "I've loved Clarks since I was a child, and I'm particularly a fan of the Originals desert boots. When the collaboration was proposed, I knew I had to do it." The collection features a modern interpretation of her brand's signature colors and motifs, as well as a taste of the 60s and 70s.
The collection includes "ORLA MARIANNE" (2 colors, 22,000 yen), patent leather high heels with a punched floral motif, "ORLA MARY" strap shoes (4 colors, 15,000 yen), "ORLA MATILDA" sandals with a design connected like leather rings (3 colors, 18,000 yen), "ORLA MARY" wedge heels (3 colors, 21,000 yen), and "ORLA MAGGIE" two-tone back strap shoes (2 colors, 19,000 yen).
Kylie is an Irish designer based in London. Her final project while studying at the Royal College of Art was purchased by Harrods, and she is still active at fashion week. Starting with his "Stem" design, released in 2001, he has collaborated on a wide range of products, from clothing to interior décor and cars, using his unique hand-drawn designs.
