
TOD'S will release a Japan-exclusive version of its iconic Gommino driving shoes on March 29th.
Three men's models will be available. The models featuring vibrant colors on the Gommino's signature rubber pebbles come in three colors: navy (body) with neon yellow, beige with vibrant orange, and black with white, priced at 46,000 yen each.
The models featuring white rubber pebbles and braided leather accents come in two Japan colors, red and Samurai Blue, priced at 49,000 yen each. The models featuring soft embossed calfskin with red stitching are available in black and white, priced at 46,000 yen each.
The women's models feature vibrant colors on the rubber pebbles and ratchet (ribbon accents). It comes in four colors: white (body) with red, light gray with light yellow, beige with orange, and navy with white, priced at 46,000 yen each. Both men's and women's sizes have the "Japan Limited Edition" logo on the insole.
Gommino was born in 1979, the same year Tod's was founded. It is a handmade moccasin made from a single piece of leather with over 100 rubber pebbles inlaid into the sole, and is known for its soft fit that has been described as "like wearing a glove."
