Muveil will be holding a pop-up shop for its 14SS collection at Re-Style on the 3rd floor of the Isetan Shinjuku Main Building from March 12th to 18th.
The theme of Muveil's 14SS collection is "Alice in Hawaii." Inspired by Lewis Carroll's children's novel "Alice in Wonderland," the collection's designs reflect the mysterious story of the protagonist, Alice, getting lost in the tropical paradise of Hawaii.
The collection features motifs such as cats, caterpillars, and flamingos, which also appear in the novel. The collection also incorporates a mix of sports styles, such as preppy knitwear, tennis wear, and basketball uniforms, as well as aloha shirt-style designs. In addition to airy fabrics typical of spring and summer, the collection also features unique materials such as specially treated sponge, leather, and vinyl. The pop-up shop will also be selling exclusive wristbands (¥7,350 each). Designer Michiko Nakayama will also be visiting the store for an event where she will personally embroider and decorate MUVEIL products. Customers can customize items from the SS14 collection to their liking. The event will be held on the 15th and 16th (2:00 PM to 5:00 PM each day), with a limit of 20 people per day. The entire experience will take 10 minutes (there may be a wait depending on the crowd). Additionally, Rose Bakery, the organic cafe on the third floor of the store, will be offering a collaboration menu. Based on MUVEIL's collection theme, "Alice in Hawaii," owner Rose has devised the menu. Two limited-time flavors will be available: "Pineapple Carrot Cake" (¥550), a popular carrot cake topped with roasted coconut and pineapple in syrup, and "Fruit Lemonade Iced Tea" (¥850), homemade lemonade topped with fruit.
