Following on from last year's trend, the first floor of the Isetan Shinjuku Men's Building is hosting a promotion featuring clutch bags. The event runs until the 11th. The building introduces various suit styles each season under the title "Elegant Suits for Japan." This spring/summer collection features "beach suits" perfect for seaside parties and resort settings. Following this trend, the brand has introduced a lineup of clutch bags that can be easily coordinated with both elegant and casual outfits. Two limited-edition items from PATRICK STEPHAN are available. The Isetan-exclusive Stripe Series clutch bag (3 colors/¥49,350) features distinctive leather accents. The leather is cut and then sewn together again to create a unique color gradation. The vibrant sky blue is a new color for Spring/Summer 2014. The horizontally embossed leather clutch bag (3 colors/¥42,000) features an interior handle and can be unfolded to become a tote bag that can hold A4 size documents. With the removable strap, it can be used in three ways, including as a shoulder bag.
Camille Fournet's clutch (3 colors/147,000 yen) has a slimmer form and elegant design than the ones normally sold. The gusset is made of alligator material. The inside of the beige clutch is made of green leather, reflecting the brand's signature color scheme.
In addition, TOD'S (86,100 yen) and BALLY (72,450 yen) will also be releasing colors exclusive to Mitsukoshi Isetan. Bottega Veneta, Alexander McQueen, Jil Sander, and Givenchy will also be available on the third floor of the building. "With the theme of 'accentuating men's fashion styling with leather items,' we designed original products that are easy to coordinate with any fashion while keeping up with the latest trends. We paid particular attention to details such as the material, size and gusset width, with a focus on how cool the bag looks when held. Clutch bags have become extremely popular, especially among fashion-conscious customers, and we think demand will only increase in the future," said the buyer in charge.
