■ABOUT BERTEHT
An unbroken tradition since 1888

Berte is a mechanical watch manufacturer founded in 1888 by the first Joseph Berte in Charmovillers, eastern France. Many brands fell dormant in the 20th century, but Berte overcame these storms with the latest manufacturing technology and traditional techniques, and today, father and son Pierre Berte, fourth generation and William Berte, fifth generation, continue to carry on the tradition of watchmaking, creating original and elegant masterpieces.

A French manufacture with integrated in-house production

Berthe has long specialized in the production of movements, and is a rare manufacture brand that produces cases, dials, and other parts in-house at Charmovier's workshop.

A long-established manufacturer recognized by the French government

Berthe's traditional watchmaking processes have been recognized by the French government, and in 2017 it was awarded the EPV mark, a mark indicating that it is an intangible cultural heritage company. This is a certification awarded by the French government to excellent companies that have preserved specialized skills passed down through the ages, and indicates that the company has received the seal of approval as a French government-certified manufacturer.
