~ RED CARD THE D.I.Y PROJECT ~
Now that going out and having fun is limited due to the impact of COVID-19, why not tinker with the denim you've been keeping at home and create new favorite pairs of jeans!

"RED CARD THE D.I.Y PROJECT" was launched with the hope that the increased time people are spending at home will lead to new enjoyment. Reviving denim that's been lying dormant at home through DIY also contributes to sustainability.

This is RED CARD's first denim D.I.Y event. Our first guest for this event will be stylist and self-confessed denim lover, Okusa Naoko.

Okusa Naoko
Active as a stylist. Born in 1972. After graduating from university, she joined Fujingahosha (now Hearst Fujingahosha). After working on editing the magazine "Vingaine", she went independent. As well as working on styling and editorials, mainly for newspapers and catalogues, she also actively directs advertising, appears at talk events and writes. In her private life, she is a mother of three children.

About RED CARD

Because it is a new type of denim born in Tokyo, it will evolve with the times and culture. The theory that denim = durable and can be worn for a long time is nonsense. This denim is not bound by such stereotypes. It is born from the faithful reproduction of the 3Fs (FABRIC/FIT/FINISH) set forth by producer Motosawa Yuji, by each and every artisan involved in the production. This is "RED CARD" denim. With a wash process that gives it the three-dimensional feel of real vintage, and a distressed finish with creases and whiskers, it has an appearance that shows Japan's delicate quality everywhere. "RED CARD" is based on an idea that is the complete opposite of denim as mere workwear. Rather than solely pursuing functionality, it proposes "an evolved version of REAL DENIM," an idea born from meticulous Japanese sensibilities.
