While the rotating bezel is often said to have originated from diving watches, beloved by watch enthusiasts, it was actually developed by P.V.H. Weems to guide pilots as they took off into the endless skies. Aircraft navigation demands constant high precision, as an error of just a few seconds can more than double the flight distance. By applying this technology to a rotating bezel, the functionality of the rotating dial on a "second-setting watch" was further enhanced. We honored him by incorporating this design into the AERO collection.
AN AVIATION TOOL OF PRECISION
The AERO collection features a style that inherits the history and design of watches. As a pilot's watch, this model can be locked with the crown at the 2 o'clock position. The vintage style is a modern revival of a classic look, and the coin-edge bezel provides a secure grip in any situation. The domed crystal is made of double-layered Lexan polycarbonate. The curves added without compromising the vintage feel create a beautiful design.
