During the rainy season, when humidity levels rise and the air gets humid, skin problems such as shine caused by sweat and sebum increase. Regardless of the season, we want to maintain beautiful, light, and natural skin!
So, we asked Shu Uemura's elite makeup artist, Junichiro Kimura, to teach us how to create a long-lasting base makeup that will help you feel comfortable even during the unpleasant rainy season.
Key Point
The key is to use different bases for the T-zone and the rest of the body. By using products with different functions for each, you can create skin that is smooth in the T-zone and has a moderate glow on the cheeks. If you remember this method, you should be able to look cool all day, even in the middle of summer.
How to Create a Long-Lasting Base Makeup
1. Primer/Base
Apply a thin layer of Stage Performer Smooth Out to the T-zone, where makeup is most likely to come off due to sebum and sweat. Its smooth texture repels sebum and sweat, preventing shine. If you're concerned about enlarged pores on your cheeks, you can also add it to the inside of your cheeks. It also has the effect of making skin look more refined, making it an item that provides both functional and makeup benefits.
Apart from the T-zone, apply the cream base Stage Performer Glow Creator Warm Glow to create a moderate glow. Pay special attention to areas prone to shadows due to the structure of the face, such as under the eyes and around the nostrils.

2. Concealer
As with the base, apply Point Cealer 7YR Medium Light to areas prone to shadows, such as under the eyes, on the sides of the nostrils, and under the corners of the mouth, and spread it out with a brush. The basic color should be one tone lighter than your foundation. This simple step will even out uneven skin tone and create an even look.

3. Foundation
Use a puff to spread Blanc Chroma Brightening UV Cushion Foundation 764, focusing on the cheeks. The cheeks are the area most prone to enlarged pores and uneven skin tone, so be sure to apply it thoroughly. On the other hand, a lighter foundation is fine for other areas. The greatest benefit of cushion foundation is that it is low in oil and feels light on the skin, while still providing just the right amount of moisture.
4. Powder
Finish with Dual Fit Pressed Powder Beige. A quick application with a brush prevents it from looking powdery, and it's both long-lasting and radiant. Avoid using a puff to apply the makeup, as it will dull the shine.

5. Lips
Apply a thin layer of Deepsy Hydration Lip Balm, a lip serum, to create a shine.
6. Eyelids
The eyelids are an area where you can't apply much foundation. Instead, apply the beige Shu Uemura Cream Eyeshadow P Beige all over the eyelid to balance the color.
Your long-lasting base makeup is complete!
Your base makeup is complete in six steps. The T-zone is left smooth and the cheeks have a radiant, bright base. This will help you feel comfortable even during the rainy season. Make it a daily habit.
