Event Date:2025.06.04-06.15

Prada will host the 12th installment of its collaboration with Kazuyo Sejima, "Inujima Project," and "PRADA MODE," in Osaka. These two events showcase Sejima, head of Kazuyo Sejima Architects and co-founder of SANAA, her vision for Inujima, and mark the second "PRADA MODE" event she has hosted with Prada. "PRADA MODE Osaka" is the latest in Prada's contemporary culture-themed event series, which kicked off with a preview of Sejima's "Inujima Project" on Inujima and led into "PRADA MODE Osaka."

In 2008, the Fukutake Foundation, which operates Benesse Art Site Naoshima, invited Sejima to reimagine the built environment of Inujima. "PRADA MODE Osaka" will present this work-in-progress through models, videos, and other materials in an exhibition format curated by Sejima, housed in the SANAA-designed Large Roof facility in Osaka's Umekita Park. In the days leading up to "PRADA MODE Osaka," the Inujima Project will host a private preview of Inujima, showcasing the island's history, Sejima's work over the past 17 years, and her vision for the island's future. During the "Inujima Project," Prada and architect Kazuyo Sejima will also unveil the permanent pavilion of the Inujima Living Botanical Garden, which Sejima designed and donated to the island by Prada.

"On Inujima, a small island rich in nature, one can encounter and experience a landscape where history, architecture, art, and everyday life blend together—a symbiosis. In Osaka, which has a deep historical connection to Inujima, this experience will be shared and spread to more people. At this "PRADA MODE" event, symbiosis will be shaped through dialogue and discovery, and a new landscape that continues to grow with your participation will be born," said Kazuyo Sejima.

"PRADA MODE Osaka" will kick off with the "Inujima Project." The "Inujima Project" will include tours of the island as well as music and art programs curated by Sejima, set in historic buildings and spaces. In Osaka, these works will be exhibited in various ways, and discussions and workshops curated by Sejima will be added, further expanding the story of "PRADA MODE Osaka." The "Inujima Project" will run from June 4th to 6th, followed by "PRADA MODE Osaka," which will open to the public from June 8th to 15th, starting with an invitation-only event on June 7th.
