SORA Terrace at Ryuo Mountain Park in Yamanouchi Town, Nagano Prefecture, reopened on July 9th. SORA Terrace is a two-tiered terrace built in August 2015 on the steep slope at the top of Ryuo Mountain Park's ropeway. Located at an altitude of 1,770 meters, it offers a breathtaking view, as if standing on clouds. The average temperature at SORA Terrace is 18°C, even in midsummer, making it an ideal summer spot for leisure activities. The on-site SORA Café offers specialty coffee and freshly baked original dishes. Additionally, Ryuo Mountain Park will be hosting a "Starry Night Cruise" that feels like a real planetarium every Saturday until September 24th, as well as on August 14th and September 18th. Guests can enjoy a panoramic view of the starry sky while swaying in a hammock, even clearly seeing the Milky Way's band of light with the naked eye. The Sora Terrace also offers a night view of Nagano City and Nakano City, making it a spot where you can enjoy both the starry sky and the night view.
In addition to being able to enjoy the night view from the ropeway as it travels through the darkness, the Sora Cafe at night will also serve an alcoholic menu. Magical cotton candy that glows in the dark will also be on sale.
