A special feature on sacai in the EYESCREAM special edition! 99 Questions to Abe Chitose, a conversation with Itoi Shigesato and others, and a limited edition T-shirt of 100 pieces on sale

Jul 29, 2016

EYESCREAM's special edition, "EYESCREAM + sacai," featuring a comprehensive look at sacai, will be released on July 28th. This 128-page special edition, produced as a separate issue rather than a feature of the monthly "EYESCREAM," explores from various angles the reasons for sacai's current popularity, which attracts fans from around the world, both male and female. This is the first book on sacai since the brand's first photo book, "sacai AtoZ," published by Rizzoli in April 2015, and EYESCREAM's first Japanese media effort. Content includes 99 questions posed to designer Chitose Abe on set, as well as interviews with prominent figures in various fields, including Shigesato Itoi, Lily Franky, Satoshi Tsumabuki, and Motofumi "Popgy" Ogi. Additionally, the magazine features interviews with creators who have collaborated with sacai in the past, such as Hiroshi Fujiwara and graphic designer SKATE THING, as well as talks from Naruyoshi Kikuchi and DJ Michel Gaubert about sacai x culture. The cover and some of the inside pages were designed by art director Tsuguya Inoue. Special graphics created specifically for this magazine are also a highlight.

To commemorate the book's release, a special collaboration sacai x EYESCREAM T-shirt will be released in a limited run of 100. The artwork was created by Tsuguya Inoue, who also designed the magazine. The owl was photographed by photographer Tamaki Yoshida and blends with the "Asymmetry/Symmetry" keyword by Chitose Abe. The T-shirts will be available in a limited run of 40 at sacai AOYAMA and Daikanyama T-Site, and 20 at Umeda T-Site.
