Stella McCartney has released the visuals and film for its Winter 2016 collection, a collaboration with American artist Ed Ruscha. The campaign, shot in London by Harley Weir, features Amber Valletta. In the images, Amber Valletta effortlessly captures the spirit of the modern Stella woman. The campaign also features a collaboration with Ed Ruscha, a renowned 20th-century American artist who invented the interlacing technique of creating paintings by overlaying words on a background. Striking text images, such as "NO LEATHERS FEATHERS OR FUR," "VEG OUT," and "MEAT FREE," reflect the designer's consistent vegetarianism and playful spirit, and are incorporated into the images photographed by Harley Weir. A chic film titled "This Film May Contain Gluten" was also produced in collaboration with filmmaker Simon Aboud. The playful documentary features Stella, Amber Valletta, and British singer Jess Glynne.
In the campaign, Amber Valletta showcases this season's luxurious yet effortless looks, including puffer jackets, swan prints, and smooth knitwear with ruffle details. The iconic Falabella bag and the popular Ellis shoe are also featured in tactical versions.
The campaign will debut in the September issues of US magazines Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, W, Elle, V, and Interview, as well as international titles in the UK, France, Italy, Spain, Scandinavia, Russia, Japan, and China.
