Stella McCartney launches first swim collection in seven series

Jul 7, 2016

Stella McCartney launched her Fall/Winter 2016 swimwear collection in July. This first-ever swim collection is inspired by and designed for women. Stella McCartney's signature silhouettes and color palette are reflected throughout the collection's prints and details. Nostalgic, wistful crochet knitting is paired with sporty stripes, neoprene is paired with mesh, and citrus and animal prints are embellished with gold charms and accessories. Timeless cover-ups in bright cotton and chambray sit alongside jumpsuits and jersey skirts. Across iconic pieces, a mix-and-match approach is offered through a variety of silhouettes and colors: powder, royal blue, dahlia, yellow, navy, and black. The collection also includes swim apparel and accessories, including bikinis, one-piece swimsuits, long and cropped rash guards, and sustainable beach totes made in Kenya. Prices range from ¥11,000 to ¥23,000 for bikini tops, ¥9,000 to ¥20,000 for bikini briefs, ¥22,000 to ¥41,000 for one-piece swimsuits, ¥25,000 to ¥31,000 for rash guards, ¥16,000 to ¥45,000 for cover-ups, and ¥25,000 for beach bags. Stella McCartney said of the collection, "This collection is truly inspired by all types of women. I hope this swimwear collection will make women feel confident, happy, and fabulous in themselves and the way they look." Available at Stella McCartney stores and online stores, as well as some department stores and specialty stores.
