PLEATS PLEASE ISSEY MIYAKE will launch its 2016 Fall/Winter collection on July 1st.

The collection is inspired by tableware that beautifully adds color to our lives, the colors that change depending on the climate and glaze of the pottery, the texture of the clay, and the warmth of painting. Items include a reversible top with a checkered pattern on the front and a striped pattern on the back, and a skirt with horizontally pleated fabric featuring undulating stitching that resembles waves and tucks on both ends for a unique three-dimensional effect.

Other items include a dress that expresses the colors of Ushinoto ware's glaze and bold dyeing, and pop bags and pouches with wavy shapes and transparent materials.
