Giorgio Armani Privé: Ultimate beauty and balance in a slim fit [2016-17 Fall/Winter Couture]

Jul 23, 2016

Giorgio Armani's Giorgio Armani Prive held its Fall/Winter 2016-17 collection show in the Palais de Chaillot ballroom.

Black velvet was the main focus, showcasing Armani's signature refined creations. Crafted exclusively from the finest, flowing materials, the collection was complemented by simple, streamlined silhouettes.

In addition to black, ice blue, gray, and pink were used as accent colors, and houndstooth and geometric patterns were frequently used. Cocktail wear, a modern interpretation of traditional patterns, can be coordinated in a variety of ways when paired with pants. Also striking was the use of sarouel-style pants that resembled a skirt. Accents included embroidery with various geometric motifs, Swarovski-studded cords, and large bows.

This season, there were more suit styles due to customer requests, but the full-length dresses at the end of the collection were also captivating. The black velvet and houndstooth fabric remains the same, but the collection is characterized by accents with large decorations such as balloon shoulders and draping at the waistline. However, they were not overly elaborate, showing the ultimate in beauty and balance.
